I used tide to lift dark hair color not wanted it made the scalp irritated and barely lifted old dark unwanted color. I am only trying to achieve golden brown not dark brown anymore. What do I do?

Tide? Like, clothing bleach? Hair bleach is completely different. Feel lucky you're not bald! If you want hair bleach, you have to go to a beauty supply store.
