    Movie experts?
Albert Finney starred in the original movie "Harry's Game", I believe in the late 70's or very early 80's, but I cannot find any mention of this anywhere including in his bio. I know the story was redone as a serial in the UK, starring Ray Lonnen, but I distinctly remember seeing the Finney movie on television here in the USA. Is there some reason for this? A "conspiracy" perhaps? Help!

Could it have been the Endless Game that you are thinking of?

Nope. I remember a few years ago coming across a few stories and profiles which showed Harry's Game on Finney's movie credits, but now there's nothing. Very strange.

Albert Finney didn't play in "Harry's Game" (The Belfast Assassin) but did play in "The Endless Game."

I understand that he was not in the serial Harry's Game (Belfast Assassin). I'm asking for info on a full feature film version of Harry's Game that I saw on American television in the early 80's that starred Albert Finney.

I think all the answers are correct - I got this blurb off wikipedia for Harry's Game:

    Broadcast and distribution history

'The serial was originally screened on the ITV network as three 52-to-54 minute episodes over consecutive nights from 25 to 27 October 1982, and was later edited into a single 130 minute programme titled Harry's Game - The Movie. While Clannad's theme tune for it became their breakthrough hit, the film itself was not widely seen in the US or widely available on video, although it appeared in Canada titled Belfast Assassin. The original, unedited three-part serial was released on DVD in the United Kingdom in 2005.'

So - yes you are correct that there was a movie of Harry's Game, but it looks like the movie you remember and the mini- series are one and the same.

On the IMdb website, Albert Finney has no part in any movie called "Harry's Game".
