I'm trying to find out if they are legal, before I have someone service it... it leaves black soot all over my walls. We are going on our third year renting here and repainting every year is getting old... it is our primary source of heat... my landlord told me the soot is from pet dander..
System overheats internally and melts drip pan. A/C line also freezes up. Not sure if related. System is a Goodman and is a 115000 BTU furnace with 5 ton. House is 2430 sq ft.
I have a dyna-glo model RMC-40NGT, and the pilot went out. I followed thr relighting instructions, the pilot relit, but when I turned the knob to "on" the pilot went out. HELP! It's cold in here!
