    Unemployment interstate claims
I live in one state but work out of another state, my work is seasonal I work on and off through the year. Can I file more than one time a year, for the weeks I'm laid off? I will work one week and can be off for a month.

That depends on where you live... and where you are filing against. And how long you worked.

You have to provide more specifics than you have before we can even venture a guess. Too many unknown variables.

You claim with the state where you work.

How it works here is that after you file you have a waiting period of perhaps two weeks. Then, every other week, you claim benefits. At that time you will certify that you are actively seeking work, that you haven't been employed full time in the pertinent period, etc. So if you are laid off for a few weeks you would receive benefits, but if you have temporary employment what you earn would be deducted from your benefits.

You can do it online where I am. Again, it may be different wherever you are. Start by going online and googling unemployment insurance benefit [your state].

Correct, each week you are laid off, you can file, they will determine if you qualify and what the payments will be.

The state you live in will do all the filing for you
