Jbfan - I don't think that anyone would be able to predict such a thing.

My guess is that perhaps consciously or unconciously, you've been worried about your father for whatever reason... perhaps his health hasn't been good and you're worried about that.

Maybe you've thought about death more and you realize how fleeting life is... your father may mean a great deal to you and you are fearful of losing him.

Our dreams manifest a lot of the deep-seeded feelings and emotions we work through in our thought life during the day. Sometimes we have thoughts that we aren't keenly aware of and we let them fester undetected. So it's not at all odd to have a dream like the one you mentioned which is so vivid and powerful.

    That's my opinion, of course.

Not necessarily, sometimes stuff like that does happen though. But unless your father is ill I'm sure it's just one of those bad dreams. Don't think too much of it, just remember to never leave the room angry with anybody because you never know what could happen afterwards. I've had dreams like that, but when I told my dad about it he said he was just stressed and having a hard time. Talk to your father and see if there is anything he needs help with or if something is bothering him.

Good luck and I hope everything works out!

If we die its normal that's part of the cycle on earth but one think for sure w didn't know when it happen... if your father die in your so its only a dream. Leave it there.

I've had that dream too, even woken up with tears on my face. It has happened a handful of times in my life. I think it usually is just something that happens when I'm feeling depressed or stressed. It happened more often when I moved away from home for freshman year off college. That was the first time I remember it happening more than once within a year. I don't know if I'd say I'm close in a friendly way with my Dad, but he and I have the same personality and share the same interests whereas my younger sisters are more like my Mom. I don't know if that makes a difference. I have always assumed that because I was closest to my Dad growing up, that this is the reason I dream of his death when I'm under stress or feeling depressed.
