    SSN
I came in the US with a tourist visa & I got married! My husband applied for me to get a green card. We are now at the process of where I have my interview date and I just received my EAD CARD & I can get a SSN ! But... when I use to live here when I was little I was issued a ssn that said "not valid for employment" but my dumb self needed money and I just gave the number and was able to work with it for about 3 months 2 years ago! My question is willi get in trouble for that? And when I apply for a ssn do I say that I had a previous number or do I just apply for a new one with my new last name? Please helpp! :/

It's best to tell the truth, and to use the original SSN, because you have to give your birth name anyway. Plus it takes about 2 - 3 years for the IRS and other agencies to catch up with how a SSN was used or misused. They will probably forgive 3 months work.

    Agree with joypulv.

Use only one SSN, your original, it follows you, not your name(s). You must disclose the unauthorized employment for it to be forgiven by the USCIS officer. Section 245(a) allows for a forgiveness of the visa overstay and unauthorized employment. Good luck.
