    Affectionately Dumped..?
I had been seeing this guy for almost 4 months, he lives with his 3 kids(16,14,12), I live with my 2(13,9). When we started dating I told him I wanted an exclusive relationship, he was fine with that. I have never met his children, friends or family. I never pushed the issue to meet them I figured if and when the time came and was right everything would come to be. I always listened when he talked to me about his kids or problems with his ex, I never judged and I just told him I thought he is a great Dad, because he is. This past week he has been normally affectionate with me (very in comparrison to other men I've dated, lol) we went shopping to 3 different stores, he made it a point to find my hand to hold it (I was looking at stuff). We always hold hands and kiss in public this was no different of a day, at his place he had gotten his wifi hooked up and told me to enter the passcode in my phone (I found this odd, as I'm never there). The next day he avoided me and dumped me. Told me that I wanted more out of a relationship then he was willing to give and he wasn't into having a relationship. Admittedly I had been having an incredibly bad week, he told me 'we' would get through my bad week. 'We' didn't he dumped me. I never complained about it to him, I was actually relieved about my job because I hated it so much.

How is it he can dump me but he was so affectionate leading up to it, like and on/off switch, I just don't understand.

I guess 4 months was enough to decide this didn't work for him. What does your job have to do with all this?

Don't know, thought perhaps that might be a connection, maybe he thought I'd be a leech without a job. We did go to his friends place the evening of my 'job' incident, we were invited to go separately, he desperately didn't want to go, but he was very insitant that I sat on his lap at the party.

Four months and you wanted it exclusive from the word go-too much too soon-I guess he decided he didn't want exclusive,or a relationship at all- and when he realised this he broke up with you.

As for being affectionate I would think he was ''being nice''-I wouldn't read too much into it.

Sorry for the break up-chalk it up to experience.
