    Recessed lights in living room 1 light not working troubleshooting?
    3 others work... bulb replaced... still no luck... worked for years

    Okay, do you think that you might give us a little more of a failure description, please?

    Are the recessed lights all on one circuit?

    Have there been any odd happenings with your electricity lately?

    It is entirely possible that the fixture has failed or it could be as simple as insulation is now covering the recessed fixture. If this is an IC (Insulation Covered) fixture, no problem.

    However, if this is a non-IC then if the insulation is now covering the fixture, the heat build-up will cause a thermal sensor on the light to open.

    That would cause the light to fail until t has cooled and then it would light back up again.
