    GA Resident Working in WV
I am a Georgia resident but have been staying and working in West Virginia while taking care of personal business since the beginning of 2006. I am staying with someone in West Virginia until I return home. My employer is in Georgia and allows me to work from anywhere in the country. My income has been taxed as West Virginia since February 2006. How should I file my 2006 state taxes? Thanks for your help.

WV taxes most income that is earned in WV.

File as a non-resident, because you are not planning to stay in WV.

Claim the credit for WV taxes paid on your GA return.

Attach a copy of the other state's return to the filing copy of the state return.
