    Saab 1999 9-3 turbo
Any words of wisdom about this car? I've heard that maintenance can be pricey? Is the turbo problematic? What kinds of problems have people encountered? Good for an 18 year old, 2nd family car, for around town. I'm looking at one with 75,000 miles.
    Thanks!

Don't know that specific car well, but all turbos are problematic. It's the nature of the beast. Make sure you only use synthetic oil. If you don't, you will learn what "coking" is all about and how problematic turbos can be. Cars with turbos are usually run hard by the owners and don't last as long as non-turbo cars.

Turbocharger was rebuilt around 65k and exhaust system was redone around the same time....
