    Cat Sneezing non stop
I have a 22 pound Maine Coon who is sneezing continuously. He recently went to the Vet and was just given a dose of Revolution. This is the only thing that has been different since he has begun sneezing. Could the medicine have triggered a reaction? He has never done this before.

If you are concerned that the meds are making him sneeze, you need to talk to your vet.

Also keep in mind, it is spring time.. He might be allergic to a certain type of plant that is growing around your place. It could be a new plant in your area that doesn't agree with him, or the wind is not in his favor with pollens.

You should really talk to your vet. It could be something minor or something major.

    Good luck

First, I must say, that that is a big kitty. Must be a bit heavy to carry. Good thing most Maine coons aren't lap cats.

Is this the first time you've used revolution on him? If you think it's that, then you can try washing it off. It's very possible that he's allergic to the flea medicine.

Is sneezing the only problem? Are there any signs of skin irritation, itching, breathing problems, or anything else?

It sounds like a possible allergic reaction, either to the medicine or something else. I would talk to your vet, and probably wash off the medicine, just to be safe. If it isn't the medicine, then your vet may have other ideas, and possibly suggest an allergy medicine.

Continuous sneezing is usually the result of a small foreign object like a weed or grass seed or even dust in the nasal passages, where is becomes a constant irritant, not dislodged by sneezing. Do you see any increased nasal discharge, and if so, is it limited to just one side?

If it were an irritating substance in the air, a change of locations should give relief and be fairly diagnostic (although not necessarily as to what it may be).
