    Went off Althea
I took pills for a month (Althea) and finished the pack. I bought a new pack but after the 6th pill I decided to stop because I had unexplained cough since I took the pills, I had headache and my breast hurts. After a week of no pills I experience bleeding. Is this normal? I'm worried. Please help. Is this what they call premature withdrawal bleeding?

Yes, it is what is expected once you stop taking the pills or when you would be taking the placebo pills. If you don't feel the Althea pills are right for you, talk to your doctor about another option. Sometimes a different pill may be better suited, or another form of birth control altogether.
