    The fans on the radiator
I have a 1995 Mitsubishi expo on the radiator it has two fans neither one spin. My husband turned the car on the other day and left it on for a good whiles and still neither one kicked in. He also noticed a small crack above the radiator which probably busted when I was driving it. Does anyone know what I should do? Should I just buy a whole new radiator which will cost me $159.99 or just get a new car?

Assuming the car did not really overheat, which can warp the aluminum head, damage the valves, and blow the head gasket, I would replace the radiator. Replacing a radiator, by itself, is no big deal. The radiator crack you described is typical on Japanese cars around 150,000 miles.

One fan goes to the radiator, while the other goes to the A/C condenser.

I just replaced my radiator, and the 2 fans in my car won't come on when the engine heats up, only when I put the A/C then the fans comes on. Isn't the fan suppose to come on when the engine heats up? How long does my car have to be on before the engine is heated enough for the fans to come on.

I have a 99 Toyota camry V6. It overheats because the radiator fans do not kick on. I parked my car and let it run and waited till it started overheating. Popped the hood and no fans running. I am afraid to take it to a mechanic because 90% of them rip you off. What could cause this to happen...
