    Temporary peace order against landlord successful- hearing today.. tips?
    The saga continues.. while the past 5 days have been the most peaceful in my entire tenancy this past year- my temporary peace order is up today and my hearing for the judge to determine if she will extend it for a specified length of time after hearing her side of things happens today. I move out (thank God!) in 13 days. I was wondering if my chances of her granting that wish were more likely due to the short amount of time I am requesting it for, as well as any tips anyone may have in order to get the extension granted? Do judges typically remain with their initial ruling in cases like this?

    Asking us to predict what a judge will do unless its clearly spelled out in the law is a crap shoot. I would guess since you are moving out, that they will extend the order to allow you to move. But if the landlord comes up with compelling reasons to lift the order, the judge may have no choice.

    Wow- I was pretty vague- apologies. In a nut shell... while I presented an abundance of evidence pertaining to general harassment, what the judge said when she approved the temporary order was that she was concerned the most with the illegal entry I had filed a complaint on her for a couple of weeks ago. It appeared she was more interested in the physical harm/threat portion of my complaint which while it does exist, simply because this woman is clinically disturbed combined with being angry... there have been no physical altercations nor threats of a physical nature for me to speak of. While my Landlady's accounts of a wide variety of mal-behavior on my part are complete fabrications- I can't see sinking to her level to make my request appear more urgent. I just know if the judge lifts it the drama is going to immediately ensue upon my return home this evening.
    If she granted it primarily because of the illegal entry, what would be a compelling reason to lift it?

    Well, since the illegal entry was accepted, then it would take a promise by the landlord to adhere to the rules of entry.

    That's it huh? A promise? She really doesn't do well with authority figures so I'm hoping she gives that attitude she's famous for to the judge as well so she can get a first hand account of just what kind of crazy I am dealing with here. I swear- the fact that I made the decision to take this apartment has made me question my abilities to make decisions.
