Okay so this is how it went.

I've been talking with this girl that I really liked for probably 2 weeks. We been getting to know each other pretty well and I just told her a few days ago that I really liked her and she responded that:

She had no one else in mind, and that she quite liked me as well.

I get all hyped up and shiz and we start talking more for another few days, and then -being my first time- I ask her if she would go out with me.

She said that she honestly wouldn't mind going with me, but she wasn't really looking into getting a relationship after she broke up with her ex a good 4 weeks or so back. She would rather stay as close buddies.

So knowing that she 'quite' likes me, I really like her. What should I do? Should I just let this matter go. I mean I respect her opinion, but being rejected for the first time in the relationship business hurts a bit. Anything would be appreciative. Thanks!

Why can't you two go out on one date? Go out with other girls too and make sure she knows you are.

I would go out with her, and have a great time but as friends, and not expect any more than that. But I would have to tell you my young friend, she would hardly be the only one I dated, and was having fun with.

She needs time to heal from her last break up, but the more time you spend, the deeper you will fall into her simply because you will focus just on her and romancing her. Stay balanced with other interesting people , friends, family, and FEMALES that are fun, so you can stay balanced, and keep a proper healthy perspective on this situation.

Date casually, and let her do the same with dating others, no big deal, unless you make it one.

Rejection hurts at first, then... you get used to it. However, your success rate does go up eventually.

Stay with it and keep inviting her to do things, you don't need to make things official yet, be a friend, and then make your moves as time goes on.
