A mother-in-law can be awesome, too. We're having my mil and the rest of the family over today for a BBQ. It's going to be a little chilly today (high 50's) so we'll eat inside, but it will still be nice.

Sunny, sounds like a great start to your day. :)

JLo I agree with the MIL comment. I hate to put this in writing but I loved mine more then my own mother. She was an amazing person. There is an angel out there named Ivah looking over us today.

Well, I wouldn't go that far ;) but I do feel quite lucky to have my mil, as well as the rest of his family.

So, Sunny, are you back working again? I'm leaving my current job in about 2 weeks and starting a new one in July.

I could go on for pages about my mother. Not the worse one in the world but I have to say I do hang my head when people ask who my parents are. Hats off to a great dad. Just a not so great mom.

I am not working right now. I have had a couple interviews. One job I turned down the other I wasn't offered. I am having some terrible times with this because I love working and here I am at home doing nothing. I have two friends who have had promotions since I have been laid off. Brings me down. I am honestly not in a good spot emotionally right now. But on the brighter side its been amazing spending quiet time in the afternoon with the hubby. I am able to enjoy things before I never have had time for.

Mine were just the opposite. I loved my dad, but he was a character. My mom was great.

Maybe it's just what you need now, then. Sorry you aren't in a good place. You have such a great attitude that I know you will come out of this well.

Well I guess for every bad there is a good. It started tough staying home and seeing him all day. He works midnights. So when he is sleeping and tired I was getting angry and thinking he was a lazy arse. But then it clicked. That's his schedule. I never had reason to pay attention before since I worked all day. But now its perfect. I put my son on the bus, go to the gym a few hours which is total heaven for me. I have muscles! Woo hoo I think if I didn't have "my thing" which is the gym then I would really be crazy.

Why the job change for you? For the better I hope.

The powers that be decided to close our office and service our clients from a nearby California office. I could have stayed on and worked out of my house, but I only want to work another year before having a baby so I didn't want to take a job from someone who had longer range plans. Plus, one of our clients was looking for someone for a temporary (1 year) position to cover for their CFO while she was staying home with a new baby - she's due in August. It was a perfect fit for me. I only want to work one year, it's a client I like, and it's in an industry where I have a lot of experience. It's also going to be a new experience, and I'm ready for that.

Good for you. Funny how things just fell in place with your plans. I was actually going to ask you about baby plans. I almost considered a second one while I was home. But I am happy with one. Truly I am. He is a good boy.

I will pop back in a few. I am painting a wall. Yes a new house and I am painting already. I didn't want it white any more. It was old. Time for change. So while its nice and I can open the windows I am going to get it done. I will be back. If I miss you enjoy your BBQ and we can catch up again soon I hope.

Well, we have been talking about the whole baby issue for a while. John is ready right now, but I wanted some time alone with him. When this opportunity came up, we decided the timing couldn't be better. We plan to start trying in October (our anniversary) and hope by the time my one year job is done that I'll be pregnant. I was an only child, which had a lot of benefits. Still, I think I'd like at least two. We'll see how it goes.

Have fun painting your wall. ;) When I am off in 2 weeks, I don't go back to work for 7 weeks. I'm also planning on doing some interior painting. Haha - you could come help me. It would be fun. :)

    Hello there! :)

You're planning to get a baby JLo? Nice!

    Good luck! :)

A girl now would be balancing them both, though I know that conflicts often arise at a certain point in time, I went and am still going through it =S

Yep, a baby - I'm already excited about the possibility. :) I'm lucky that I don't really have to work, so I'm planning to stay home until our kids are school age. I can always do some consulting work or work from home if I want.

We're going to head out for a walk/run now. Pete saw me grab his leash and he's impatiently waiting for me.

    Talk to you later. :)

Hey Bear, sorry I never came back after I posted that. I just don't visit this place often. It will probably be less if I change jobs soon.

We need Sunny to come back and liven things up. She could get rid of the cobwebs and paint the walls. I'll even help her. ;)
