Blue fluid leak bottom of whirlpool refrigerator
My whirlpool refrigerator is leaking blue bluid from the bottom. I did just move and broke the
Water filter. What is this blue fluid and should I call the repair people?

I have been doing refrigeration work for 35 years and know of no blue fluid used unless someone put dye in the Freon to find a leak. My guess is a leak of cool-aide in refrigerator that went into drain pan. DrTom4444

The refrigerator was empty. We had just moved it to a new residence. Maybe the dye in the freon
    Could be the only answer.

I would wash out the refrigerator well inside and out, including coils under unit. That way you can see what is going on and it will work better. If you had a freon leak it would not work at all. See what happens when you wash it out. You will flush out drain lines from freezer and refrigerator to drain pan by washing it out. If something blue was in drain pan and water went into it after pan moved while you were moving it the water would go on floor with the blue dye such as cool-aide. Pull out drain pan and clean it as well. Tell me what you find. DrTom4444

If it was a tracer dye and you found that much, the Freon is gone and the unit will not work I'd go with a spill as Dr Tom says. Freeze packs usually have a blue gel, sounds like it could be that.
