Don't know who the dad is.
My doc. Said I'm about 6 weeks and a few days along.. I've never had a baby but io have 12 nieces and nephews.. my problem is my boyfriend and I had intercourse around the second week of dec and I went to my sisters out of state on the 21st it had been around 2 weeks since my boyfriend and I had sex and I had sex with a friend on the 22 and 23 of dec. and started my period on the 25 or 26th of dec. and I didn't have sex with my boyfriend again until about a week and ahalf after jan. 8th. Would this be my boyfriends baby or the friends??

You can ask your doctor when he believed you conceived, this would be the most accurate way without having a paternity test done.

Your doctor can tell about the conception date by periods or even more so with measurements by an ultrasound.

I am not a doctor but I am willing to say it probably is your boyfriend's. Here is why I think so. You say that you had a period around the 25th or 26th of December and that your boyfriend and you had sex around the second week of December. The 25th would have been around the time that you would have been experiencing the "implantation" of the egg to the uterin wall. I am not sure if that is when your technically considered "pregnant". What was that period like? Was it very light compared to normal? Did it not last quite as long as your regular periods do? But if your doctor is saying 6 weeks and that is from the time of intercourse then maybe not. I would think that it would be from the time of implantation. Others people's thoughts on this would be helpful.

If you go to Google you can look up due date calculator. It said that with the date of your last period, that you would have conceived around the 8th of January.. hope that helps

If it was a normal period, you conceived on or around 4 weeks ago. So I would say it is your boyfriends as well. But if it wasn't normal, I'd double check with the doc. The other posts are right. The doc can pin point close to the date by ultra sound. Then you'll know for sure!

However, to be totally accurate you need a paternity test done after the birth of the baby.

Also pregnancy begins at conception, not at implantation. Once an egg is fertalized it moves through the fallopian tubes into the uterus where it implants. Some women have tubal (ectopic) pregnancies, which means that the fertalized egg did not get a chance to implant in the uterus, but rather implanted in the fallopian tube.

So, technically you are pregnant at fertilization, not implantation. However, this theory is debatable by some professionals since ectopics are rarely ever viable.

Good point J_9, I do agree on many levels that you are pregnant at the time of conception, that is my belief anyway. I guess my question was when doctors are figuring the number of weeks pregnant you are, do they go by when the implantation has occurred or is it from the time of conception or intercourse?

The doctor uses the first day of your last period for initial calculations of due dates and gestation. After that they use ultrasound as a more reliable method of calculation.
