    Depends.

Do you have a lease? If so, what does it say? What state (or country if not in the US) are you in?

    Hello shell:

What you probably got was a three day notice to pay or quit.. It's not an eviction, per se. It IS the beginning of the eviction process, but that's going to take a few weeks. You can pay your rent anytime before you get to court and the process will stop.

Its not a 3 day evict notice. That is a 3 day pay or quit notice. Meaning if you pay it in three days... you won't be evicted... if it isn't they will commence the eviction process which will involve giving you 30 days notice to leave at which time they take you to court for a formal eviction the end of which results in the Sheriffs putting your stuff out on the curb if you don't go on your own.

Yes. Your first post somehow suggested to me that you paid, but 4-days late. Have you paid the rent?

If you paid and got the notice at the same time (e.g. crossed in the mail), go read your lease very carefully.
Some leases say they count how many times you are late paying by how many of those 3 day notices they send out, and use that count to determine termination.
