    Theft under $5000
    I'm going to court tomorrow for theft under $5000, I have no criminial record. What will happen?

    They usually cut your right hand off.


    Oh wait, that's if you are in the Middle east. It helps to know what country and state your are in. What they can do, and what they might do depends on where the crime took place.

    Then you are in better shape than many places. They have diversion programs you could inquire about. Perhaps a fellow Canadian will respond with more details... I'm from the USA and we don't have that.
