    Harbor breeze fan model # AER52BP5LKRC wiring
    Can someone please help me I have been trying to wire my fan all day and now its starting to fustrate me.. I can't get the remote to control any of the fans functions, and the only way that the light and the fan will come on is if I hit the wall switch and it turns on both.. I have all wires from my ceiling out and all the remote wires out with the control box and all the ceiling fan wires exposed can someone please walk me through this? it would be greatly appreciated.. thanks have a good day.

    Well, you will need the wall switch to at least supply power to the ceiling box, the remote does not do that. We don't know how you wired the fan but if it is new, it must have had instructions. It sounds like you wired the fan like you would without a remote. WIth a remote, you only need 1 power feed to the receiver, not the fan, and then wire the receiver to the fan wires. Almost all of them have 2 color coded snap together connectors. Match the color codes and snap them together. Make sure the DIP switch settings on the receiver and transmitter are set the same. You would leave the wall switch ON and then the remote transmitter controls everything.

    Did this fan come out of the box with a remote or did you buy one after market?
