Do you mean threw it up? If he can't keep food down and is losing weight he needs to see a Vet.

This is definitely something that needs to be seen to by a vet sorry.
Given his age and the fact he is losing weight I would say there is something internal going on.

12 years is a good age for those breeds. So this certainly could indicate something medical. It could be something as simple as he has developed an allergy, to something more serious such as cancer. Not trying to scare you at all, I just wanted to point out how important it is for you to see a vet. Please keep us posted.

Just like with people, senior dogs need to get their senior check up. This ensures that all organs are functioning good and that no cancer has popped up.

When dogs throw up after eating, that typically means there could be a blockage. Because he is not eating, possibly in pain and/or stressed out he is losing weight. He could have abscessed teeth which is making him sick and painful to chew... There are a million things that could be going worng.

If you were throwing up everything you ate, would you sit around waiting for an answer from strangers? Or would you go see the professionals (Doctors)?

Health considerations with shaved samoyed dog? Also how to introduce a dog to a cat? [ 3 Answers ]

I'm about to adopt a 2 and a half to 3 year old samoyed from a shelter. He was neglected and when his neighbours took him to the shleter his fur was matted so they had to cut out all the tangles (he isn't bald he just has fairly short fur). I was just wondering if there could be any health issues...
