On march 21st I had a positive urine test at the doctor's office which was unexpected because I had the test because I was going to get my wisdom teeth out, not because I missed my period. I usually have a period every month , however they are not regular. On April 5th I started to pass blood clots for about a few days and stopped bleeding for two weeks.I still have all pregnancy symptoms and now I am spotting again. So I had an ultrasound and blood work done yesterday. My Hcg level's are 1600 I am guessing I should be around ten weeks but I don't know the exact date I've had my period and my OB didn't tell me how far along I was because the ultrasound shows an empty irregular shaped gestional sac. They said they didn't hear a heartbeat. They didn't show me the ultrasound while they did it. I am wondering if I could have gotten pregnant again after I thought I had a complete miscarriage, or if I was off on the dates and it is to early to hear a heartbeat because I have a tipped uterus maybe the baby was hiding. Or possibly I had miscarryed one twin because the father is a twin himself and twins are common in both of our families.. They want me to get a d&c, but I would like to wait a few weeks to see if it happens naturally or if this pregnancy is viable. I also believe I have a possible chlamydia infection would that do anything to the ultrasound or baby? Most of the women in my family have issues with their pregnancies as well and three have had to have hysterectomies,cervical and breast cancer also are common in my family and a few have had ovarian cysts. Could something else be wrong with me? Should I get another opinion?
