Tax returns for new US residents.
My mom was undocumented and filed her tax return every year for maybe 3 or 4 years. During this time, she could not receive any deductions and/or exemptions because she was not a resident. My questions is: Now that she is a resident, can she amend her tax returns to receive any kind of refunds?

    Thank you.

She can amend 2008 and 2009 and claim any unclaimed exemptions.

For 2007 and earlier, it is too late to claim any refund.
