    Getting your name on a car?
    My dad is getting married and I need to put my car in my name but my cedit is less than perfect... what do I do

    If it is financed... its not going to happen. The lien holder wouldn't allow it. Because their risk is increased and they aren't compensated for the extra risk.

    If YOU can secure your own financing... they would have no objection by paying off the old note and in the transfer picking up a new one in your name.
