I've had unprotected sex in exactly a week after getting it. I've research about it but have seen different facts.the nurse that gave it to me never informed me that I should wait a week before having unprotected sex. But I read that in an article. I got the shot on a Monday had my period on Tuesday and kind of stopped on Saturday Sunday or so as I was spotting and some what still am not much really and I had unprotected sex on Monday. Is it possible for me to have gotten pregnant and if so would I miss my period to know if I did get pregnant? I don't know I might just be paranoid.

No type of birth control is 100% safe, if you're on the depo you should still use condoms, you can get pregnant anytime you have sex.

On the other hand, the depo can stop your period altogether, make it really light or just have spotting, if you do suspect you are pregnant you will have to just wait until you're due your next period, chances are you might not get your period since your on the depo but test for pregnancy anyway.
