    L1 visa tax filing
    Hi,

I am in the US since June 2009 on an L1 visa.
My boss just told me I am a non immigrant but also a temporary visitor who is on an extended business trip so I can claim per diem ammounts for every day I have been in the US in 2010. Per diem for meals and accommodation.

    Is this actually possible?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

    Your boss is WRONG!

Once you exceeded one year in the U.S. your job became permanent in the eyes of the IRS and daily living expenses CANNOT be deducted.
