I have 2 identical single line centrifugal surface well pumps with a maximum suction depth of 25 feet each. I would like to parallel connect both of them together on the intake side using a "T" pipe then connect the single intake line coming out from the well to the remaining incoming inlet on the "T" going to the intake of pumps.

Each intake side of the pumps have removable anti backflow valves attatched.

Outgoing lines on each pump will also go into a "T" joining back into the single water line to the building.

Also, both pumps will share the same pressure regulator so they come on at the same time.


Will this give more depth suction on the intake side from the well and enable the foot valve to be placed deeper down?


I'm not looking for more water pressure. Just a possible deeper depth. On a really tight budget and trying anything I can with what's have available on hand. No funds available to buy a bigger pump, hence the reason I'm asking on here.

It will not allow you to go deeper. 25' will still be the max, and even that will be pushing it a bit. I would think you would get more volume. Your pressure, since you are using a pressure switch, would not change.

If your well bore is large enough to allow it, a submersible pump would be a good bet, especially at only 25 feet. OR you could use one of your pumps to pump into a large holding tank, and the second one to pump from the holding tank into the pressure tank.

Just tossing out ideas.
