    1/4 should work.
    Depending on the LED current, if out of the ordinary(higher current, you may try this Calculator:
    The Best Current Limiting Resistor Calculator for Led's
    By using 2 resistors in Parallel, you could have your Indicating Led's in Multiple Locations.(Drivers Seat and fuel inlet)
