My friend got caught shoplifting at a store, she first said she didn't know what happened but later confessed saying it was an accident. She is saying her brain shut off, but she is only 11 years old. Her parents were informed and became furious. She is banned off the property for one year. No one else knows but what happens if her friends parents bring her up to the store. If she is caught there will be a huge fine. What can I do to not feel like this is my fault? I am stuck in a hole, and don't know how to get out.

How is any of this your fault? SHE shoplifted; her parents know; she's banned. If friends' parents want to take her to the store she has to say no.

I would think her parents would also ban her from stores and malls.
