    New to XP home
    How is it that I uncheck those programs that are running in the background and eat up my RAM?? Thank you! ~ Andrea

    Quite simple BUT you must be careful.
    Start > Run > Type MSCONFIG > Startup Tab.

    Uncheck the ones you don't need.
