I got my lip pierced for the second time 3 days ago. First was a ring,this time it's a barbell. And the back is sort of making a crater inside my lip. Nothing too serious just looks like an indentation. I am getting red marks on there, I'm thinking from the clip. It doesn't really hurt at all. Its not AS swollen as it was before. And I rinse like I'm supposd to and clean it like I'm supposed to.. is this normal?

When you say barbell, do you mean labret stud (they have flat backs)? This is totally normal, this happened to me when I got my monroe pierced, it won't go away either, mine has stayed like a little indentation for about 2 years. After the recommended time that you should keep the piercing in before changing it, I suggest you should get a ptfe or bioplast labret stud, it will do less damage to your teeth.

I actually have this at the moment, and I asked the piercer guy who pierced it about it and he said not to worry its normal, it will eventually go away theirs nothing to worry about. So I don't. He said rally it was cause the bar was way to close and it got the dinty bit thingy and I just got a bigger bar and its fine.
