I just had an an incident where my soon to be 8 year old boy went up a girls skirt and was trying to touch her... The school made it out that my son had the problem. The young girl was not questioned or talked to at all. My son was talked to my the child psyhcologist at the school. My problem with this whole thing is why my son looks like the animal. That is how the school is making me feel. I of course talked to my son and he say that he was seeing what was under her dress. Apparently the teacher saw this and notified the principal.. I was horrifed when I got the phone call. This just happened in school today so I am very curious what will happen tomorrow when he goes to school. I am nervous if the parents of the girl freak out and what will happen.

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, you said a teacher witnessed this. So presumably, she saw that your son initiated this and that's probably why the girl was not questioned. Frankly, your attitude here leaves something to be desired. You sound like you are in denial that your son did this. The facts seem clear and your son admitted it. So why are you making an issue that the girl wasn't talked to?

On the other hand, while the school needed to address this issue immediately, they don't need to portray your son as some sort of sexual deviant. Curiosity is normal, though 8 is a bit old to be wondering what was under a girl's dress. I don't know what sort of education you have given your son about inappropriate touching. If you haven't, then you have been remiss. If you have then you need to hammer this lesson home NOW!

What was said by the school about whether the girl's parents were informed? What did the school say about how they would handle things? What does the school want you to do? Do other children know about it? These are important things you left out of your post for us to help you deal with this.

I would suggest holding your son out of school today until you and the school have a plan for dealing with the fallout from this.

Was he trying to touch her, as you said in the first sentence, or was he lifting her skirt to see what was under it? While neither are appropriate, there is a difference, and how the incident might be handled would be different.

It may be simply a matter of her mentioning having shorts on and he was trying to see and happened to get caught just at that moment. If it appears it was something more inappropriate then I can understand the sequence of events afterward.

More than likely, since it was already handled at school, you were notified and spoke to him, the matter is done with.
