Baby likely will. Most babies will be vertex (head down) by 34 weeks and even more likely by 36 weeks. There are a number of possible ways to help encourage baby to rotate. A few of the things you can try:

1) see a chiropractor who is trained in the Webster Technique (this is not a manipulation on baby or your abdomen) Success rate is about 75% with the first series of adjustments and if a second series is necessary the success rate is about 95%. I've personally known women from my classes who have found success with this.

2) a slant position: baby's bum or feet are now low in your pelvis and the heaviest part of a newborn is their head, so being in a slant can allow for the presenting body part to come up out of the pelvis and hopefully allow for baby to turn.
On your back, lie on the floor with your feet up on a chair or the sofa. Put pillows under your hips so that you are in a slanted position. You can do this a few times a day (while watching TV works) for about 15 minutes or so (good idea to ask your doctor if you have any blood pressure concerns). Some women will feel baby turn at some point once they are upright again, others don't at all and only find out baby has turned when they go back for the next appointment.

3) some doctors and midwives will do an "external version"... this is where they will manually try and get baby to turn from the outside. It is most often done at 37 weeks in hospital. Your uterus will be relaxed, ultrasound is used to view baby's and placenta's position/location, and they, either on their own or with someone assisting, will manipulate baby through your abdomen to encourage baby to shift position. Does not feel comfortable, but it beats a c-section if it is successful! How likely your care provider will attempt it or not can be a matter of how much experience they have with it (some have little or no experience so it will not be an option).
While baby usually will stay put if they do turn from this procedure, it can sometimes happen that baby will turn back a few days later.

There are a few others that may sound a bit odd, but if they work, great! "Baby Thunder", we know baby's hear fairly well, so if you have a shower nozzle that can be held, hold the stream of water near baby's head and they may move away from it turning downward. With the same idea, some women will play soothing music, or have partner talk, very low on their pelvis in hopes baby will turn down towards the sound.

They can also distinguish light and darkness, so in a darkened room, hold a flashlight down low on the pelvis in hopes baby will turn down towards the light. Strange, I know, but some women feel it worked for them and it won't hurt. (you don't have to tell anyone you are trying it! )

There are no guarantees no matter what you try, and if baby does turn, was it from what you tried or would they have turned on their own anyway? (which does happen) Who knows, the point is they might turn and you might be able to avoid major surgery... :)
