Sharp pain in lower right abdomin
Im almost 19 and for the past, I don't know, week/ week and a half, I have been feeling this sharp pain in my lower right abdomin. I am not on my menstrual cycle or anything like that, and besides, I don't get "cramps" like these even when I am on it or about to be on it

It comes and goes, but its mostly there, and it hurts more when I walk with my left leg forward and when I open my REALLY heavy metal door.

I don't think its appendicitus because I haven't thrown up or anything, but I'm going to the doctor tomorrow just to see what's up

My "bathroom habbits" are pretty much regular and I am pretty sure its not gas

What should I expect from the doctors tomorrow? It hurts as I type this

    Um.. I don't believe so..

I did have a pregnancy scare (brownish spotting) but my test came out negative. When I do go to the doctor I am going to request one "just in case" but there are no symptoms of pregnancy, and I would be a 5 weeks along and experiencing other symptoms if that was the case..

But no on the lifting heavy objects. If it is hernia, hwat does that mean?

Hi Idontlikeschool! Good to see you again. I hope you are seeing the doctor about what we spoke about in your earlier posting. Will this be the same doctor's visit?

Even though you aren't throwing up, it could be appendicitis. Then again, it could be nothing but a bit of cramping. The doctor will just ask you a lot of questions, and will do a physical, basically pressing down on the right abdomen and feeling around the area to see if you are in pain. Please don't worry. You are doing the right thing having it checked out.

FYI, as we get older we sometimes experience different pain or aches that don't really amount to anything. Nobody tells us about this stuff when we are young so we get nervous when it happens. You are doing the right thing checking it out and the doctor will have a better idea of what is going on.

I hope this helps ease your fear a bit. :) Come back and let me know what is happening with you sweetie.

I know it hurts sweetie. I know you may not think it is gas but it could very well be that. You have been under a lot of stress lately and quite often the emotional distress takes its toll on our bodies in different ways.

If you start to run a fever tonight and the pain becomes more intense, then I would suggest you go to the school's infirmary tonight. If you aren't running a fever and it is just a sharp pain that isn't going away, you will be fine until you get to the doctors tomorrow morning.

Definitely let me know what happens.
