    Windows 7 keyboard lockup
    I can't use the keyboard at all even to log in. have tried several restores, reboot operating system, clean boot, etc. Every time windows updates and asks to restart I loose the keyboard. Toshiba A505 1 year old. I can use the keyboard in safe modebut can't find anything wrong. Any ideas?

    Have you tried an external USB keyboard?
    Also if your computer has been dropped or been exposed to vibrations like train travel or airplane take offs and landings one of the ribbon cables connecting the keyboard to the mother board may have worked loose I had a early MacBook Pro that the keyboard had a habit of cutting out after I had been on a plane.
