I am in need of some help, as my mom and dad are renting a house here in LasVegas and have infested with bed bugs. The problem is, they moved into this house about 6months or so ago and before moving into this home had no medical issues involving bed bugs. So, in the time they have lived in the house they have been treated by a doctor for bed bugs and been forced to get rid of EVERYTHING. I do mean EVERYTHING,beds,dressers,linens,anything wood,etc.. They are now living in their motor home in the driveway and cannot afford to move, as they are 65 & 68 yrs old and raising their 8yr old grandson. The owners of the house say they are not responsible for any part of this problem, however the carpet was not replaced before they moved in, and if in fact the bugs were already there, shouldn't it be the owner/landlords responsibility to replace the carpet,and provide them with suitable living courters until then? They also have no where to put their personal items,(clothes,TV,pets,etc.. )so they are in the driveway and along the side of the house, but 2 days ago were served with a county code warning for things being in the yard,driveway,etc.Can someone please tell me what they can do and if they are fully responsible for any,or all of the financial side of this or what can we do? PLEASE
