    Is it safe to use old carpet as a weed barrier?
    I want to make a 6 inch wide row around my raised b ed garden to keeop out weeds.

    As long as you are aware that it will be very difficult for that area to receive water/rainfall and nutrients there is no problem.

    In my area people are using layers of newspaper for this same purpose.
