    Hair removal and stubble! Help
Been having this problem a while, sometimes I like to completely tidy my pubic area and especially now I'm pregnant and getting regular check ups. I refuse to wax! Ouch! So I usually shave or use hair removal cream, but after a day or two I get stubble and it gets caught in my panties! Which really hurts, I've tried not to wear lacey ones and stick to cotton or other materials but it doesn't help, can someone tell me how to stop this, I would shave the stubble off but that would irritate my skin.

Don't shave every day... do it every other day. Use a good shaving Gell, I find the creams less effective. And don't use a dull razor. Every day and or with a dull razor WILL cause the sort of issues you mention. Do it only at the end of a nice hot bath or shower... and not the beginning.

Depending on how fast your hair grows, and how coarse it is... you might be able to go 2 days between shaving. Besides... every other day is actually easier than doing it once a week when it's a lot longer.

Oh... and something important I forgot.

NEVER pass the razor over skin with no shaving gel on it. Keep some gel on one hand and every pass of the razor smear it around.

For the most effective razor work... go Right to left... left to right. Up diagonally one way, up diagonally the other way... and from bottom to top the last time... keeping the skin fully covered by gel between passes. It will be as smooth as your belly if you do that... and may not start to have stubble for two days.

The more passes you have to make, the more razor burn you will get. So you want to do it the most efficient way in as few strokes as possible. And why every other day gives less razor burn than once a week. But hair grows in different directions and a single pass isn't going to be effective or efficient.

And incidentally... my face is actually the most sensitive skin on my body to shaving. But that is equally true for any body part. And that's from years of trial and error.

Stubble after shaving? [ 2 Answers ]

Whenever I shave my legs, I seem to still have the appearance of stubble. It's mainly on the back of my calves. I hate it because it looks like I haven't shaved in a few days, and no matter how many times I go back over that area, I can't get a clean shave. I've tried many different kinds of razors...
