Are there 5 year restraining orders?
Are there 5 year restraining orders? My new husband was railroaded by the system and is not allowed to contact his children for 5 years.

Evidently so, if that's what happened. Where are you and what are the details of what happened?

I'd like to know how he was railroaded. That might have something to do with the 5 year order of protection.
I've seen "for the rest of your life" protective orders. You get your pick - a protective order forever or jail.

Hello l:
If he was railroaded, a competent attorney should be able to change it.

Yes, please give us details, since seldom is a father keep from seeing his kids, he may be required to do it under supervision. But he would have had to try and kidnap or harm them for him not to be able to see them at all.
Or he had no attorney

The first question is how do you know? Have you seen the court order?
If the order says 5 years then 5 years is allowed. It is highly unlikely a judge would issue an order that was unlawful.
The second question is how do you know he was "railroaded"? Are you taking his word for it or were you involved in the court proceedings.
And the final question is how did this come up? Did you ask him why he doesn't try to see his children?

Welcome to the world of bias Judges, bias cops, and bias courts. The system is set up for woman only... They can have a man locked up with no evidence just to win an argument... Yup, tell your hubby to just take the unjust punishment and move forward, because even if he has done nothing wrong, she can get him locked up with the shed of her tears.
Any of you who believe this is not a woman's world is in denial.

It's biased, not bias.
Your rant is out of place on this board. This is a Q&A site. You are welcome to open a thread on one of the discussion boards to argue your position in the men vs the World forum.
Otherwise I see no viable legal advice here and this post is very much out of place.

formula1129 does not find this helpful : PERSONAL ATTACK
You are misusing the rating system but that's okay because I am considering the source. A personal attack would be telling you that I find it bizarre and telling that you are posting on AMHD, requesting to be "secret friends" with women in troubled marriages.
Most of your posts have been pulled; this will probably go in that same direction.

What does Probate Court have to do with this? Do you mean Family AND Probate Court?
I'm with the program and I'm on to you.

First, may I call your attention to the guidelines for using the comments feature found here:
https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/feedba...ure-24951.html
If you feel someone has posted a personal attack against you, then you use the Report Inappropriate Post link. You do not misuse the ratings feature. JKT's rating and comment were appropriate since your post was not factual but an opinionated rant that not in keeping with the standards for this forum. Nor was it a personal attack since it referred to what you posted not you personally.
Please note, that most of your posts have been removed because they violated our rules and guidelines
