My Dell laptop computer boots all right, but no icon appears,except the wall paper. Nothing works. Only the crtl+alt+Delete puts it in shut down mode. What can be the problem? Jake.

I am posting this on behalf of my sister. She Wrote - Where do I stand if I decide to stand up to them and say enough is enough? This is the short version, I will go into more detail as we go along. I hope you can help me. I am in need of some serious advice. Got 2 grandchildren...

Is there a way to hide the application icons in my computer? Every time I installed something (i.e. softwares) a new icon is created. I just have so much that it filled the whole monitor. Plssss help me.
