How much time would it take the barque "Barbara" to cross the Atlantic ocean in 1848?
A barque of 490 tons with crew and 154 passengers on board, fully loaded, from Galway, Ireland to New York. I'm Also interested in the possible route it would have taken barring severe weather conditions which may have caused her to change course. Thanks for your help on my last question about the "Barbara", this would be the same ship. The answers where right on target. What speeds were these ships capable of?

Couldn't find your answer, But a customer of mine down here keys, Sailed the worlds smalles sailboat across the Atlantic in 1968 in 105 Days, then Back the other Direction in '93 in a 5'6" Sailboat, I believe it was in 115 Days.
Saw him at the Barber last week, spoke briefly about his voyage again, and asked about his can rusting, he said the Problem was the labels all came by getting wet.
So it was a surprise to eat, could be a can of beans or a can of Peaches.

Can some one give historical background on her? A proper one she was second wife of Holy Roman Emperor and with him found Dragon Order. I need too know details of her life, characteristics, behavior, and stuff like that for my novel really badly.
