    Heat pump startup noise
    Outside of our bedroom window are three heat pumps, one for each floor of our condo building. One is particularly noisy at startup, and quiets down after running for a bit. What is the cause and the cure? We are awakened at each startup. HELP!

    Rain shield needs replaced. Motor bearings going bad. Just guesses.
