My mom has an apartment that she got put into through the government-its a unit for adults on disability basically so its not big. But its in Lapeer, Mi-- my brother (who lives in the southern states) researched her building/property and found an insane asylum used to cover that whole area.

Now.. she's been living there for a couple months now- but something got stirred up or something.. two nights ago she got 'attacked'--she explained it as if something was on top of her holding her down to her bed (around the witches hour* until about 4am) she said-"in the name of jesus christ-our lord and savior-leave me be and leave this house" she couldn't talk let aloe scream or anything at this point-almost like she was being choked- she described it as though she basically choked out her words---but it went away---then it came back a little later---again she said "in the name of jesus christ-our lord and savior-leave me be.." ---it went away---then came back a THIRD TIME!! Again she choked out the words "in the name of jesus christ..." she said she looked up to her white ceiling and saw it change to a draker-grey color--then it started to peel its paint back and chip away--- after she said the words for the third time--it went away AGAIN--and the ceiling went back to normal---

My mom decided at this point she can't sleep-she got up and went into the kitchen-she said as soon as she went in her kitchen-that the 'unknown being' grabbed her-like a glove-around her whole torso!!

I went with her yesterday to 'Crystal Pathways' a store filled with wiccan and pagan items, etc.. I gave her a "banishing negativity from your home" chant + description of a ritual(as some may call it) to sweep this negativity from her home.. she also has the 'eye of horis' symbol on her bedroom door along with other emblems and protection items.. my mom also got from the reader woman at the store- 5 quartz shards that were blessed and empowered for her-along with a chant to do in her room as she placed them accordingly..

I thought this would all help and in fact--it hasn't... now her bedroom (and her bedroom alone) smells like smoke-as she described as 'cigarette smoke-like smell'... she can't get rid of this smell nor can she figure out what or why it's there... she left me a voicemail on my cell-and the last half of the message scared me literally half-to-death... ---it was distorted and demonic sounding-and awkwardly a little sped up... my moms calls and voicemails have never distorted or even came close to sounding like this-i know for a fact it wasn't bad reception... I'm freaking out for my mother-especailly since she lives alone just her and her cat... please can you give any advice to what to do-or what this bad entity could be??

Yes, she should find a clergyperson who believes in demonic spirits and have that person come to her apartment and "cleanse" it.

She can also notify the landlord that she wishes to move, state her reasons and see what the landlord says. That way she can leave the spirits behind her.

I think that if we look at this calmly and rationally , no matter what it is , we can find your mother the peace and calm she deserves.

Your mom WAS on the right track using the name of Jesus... however, she has a lot to learn if she allowed you to take her to a New Age shop.

If something is really going on there she really has two choices. She can move or she can learn to stand her ground. The name of Jesus is not a magic word that just makes evil disappear. He gave us authority under His name for His FOLLOWERS. It does work... she just has to learn what it really means to have that authority. It certainly doesn't mean trying "whatever works"... and by that I might crawling into one of those pagan stores... which can open MORE doors.

It doesn't matter what history a property has... those spirits only have the rights that are GIVEN to them. They do not have to be there.

Yes, you are not going to have any luck calling the name of Jesus in the evening, if you are going to Wicca and new age in the day for help.

You need to decide what power you wish to use and follow that path,

But being held down in bed is actually a very very common event, I have had it happen to be before even. Scary when it happens but no demons involved there.

I would get the clergy involved to help you
Understand what it is you may be dealing with.

Trying "magic ", "spells". and such in some cases is
An invitation to more problems.
