Sailing Permit Not Procured Before Leaving the US on Travel Document
    Hi,
I applied for a travel permit when I received my green card and I left the US in 3 months , then I received my permit from US through my cousin came to my country. But when I looked at the travel document it says that I have to apply for a <sailing permit> before I leave the states. I was surprised to see this requirement as I stayed in US for 3 months only and did not do any job or paid any taxes. Now I am planning to come back to the states in 1-2 years. Do you think I should still apply for the sailing permit although I've already left the states? Do you think this could jeopardize my green card and have it revoked or can create trouble on my arrival back at US airport. Please help and advice.
    Thanks
