    2010 w-2 filed but forgot 1042-s
    Hi,
I just filed my w-2 for 2010 10 minutes back on turbotax. I'm a student in US on an F1 visa and have teaching assistantship. But I just came across my 1042-s form I got from my university. What am I supposed to to?
Should I wait for the return to be accepted and then file an amended return?
In that case do I just need to file for the 1042-s or both 1042-s and w-2(again)?
    Prompt reply will be appreciated.
    Thanks

Well, to begin with, you filed INCORRECTLY. As an international student on a F-1 visa, you are a non-resident alien and must file Forms 1040NR-EZ and 8843, plus the state tax return.

So wait for the on-line file to be accepted, then amend the return by submitting Form 1040X with a properly-prepared Form 1040NR-EZ and 8843 attached to the Form 1040X.

At that time, you can add the Form 1042-S income.
