    Plan b one step
Me & my boyfriend had unprotected sex the day I went to get my birthcontrol pills. I can't start the pill until my period comes on. My boyfriend nutted in me & we've had sex after that a couple of times & we were wondering if we could still use plan be one step pills for the last time we had intercourse or does it only count for the first time because my period hasn't came on yet

Plan b is only effective if taken within the first 72 hours. And even then, it's no guarantee.

You do realize that even once you begin the pill, it's not immediately effective, right?

And you should really talk to your doctor again before beginning the pill now that pregnancy is a very real possibility.

The best way to prevent pregnancy is to not have sex, it's the only 100% guarantee that you won't get pregnant. The next best thing is USE PROTECTION and use it correctly. That means condoms, the pill, throw in some spermicide while you're at it.

    Some birth control facts,

Plan B is not 100 percent
Has to be used within 72 hours and the longer after that you wait, the less effective it is.

Birth control pills take from 2 weeks to 1 month to be effective after you start taking them.
They are also not 100 percent effective.

Plan B will mess up your monthly cycle.

Shada, where have you been getting your sex ed?

You other thread states that you had an abortion less than a year ago. And then you seemed to be worried about being pregnant, or that if you weren't pregnant you couldn't get pregnant. And now just two months later you're back wondering if you could be pregnant again. And you're only 15! This isn't the sort of thing you should be dealing with at 15.

You should be focused on your education and having fun with your girlfriends and casual, non-sexual dating with boys.

Since I'm sure you probably won't stop having sex, at least please learn to be smart about it. As we said before, no form of birth control is 100% effective. So, once you start the pill again, make sure you take it at the same time everyday. And always get your prescription filled ahead of time. Call the pharmacy a few days early. Maybe they can even help you set it up to automatically refill and then all you have to do is pick it up.

Even when you are on the pill again, ALWAYS use a condom. If you're boyfriend won't wear one, DON'T HAVE SEX. Condoms not only help to protect you from pregnancy, they also help protect you from stds. Even if you use multiple methods of birth control, there will always still be some chance of pregnancy any time you have sex. But using birth control correctly, every time you have sex will at least decrease those chances of you becoming pregnant.
