When talk on the phone the conversation is usually friendly. We sometime talk for about 10 to 20min about our son and other things not related.

Let's call the child Greg. Greg lives with his mother outside the United States. The relationship was a long distance one for 7 years. She is living with her mother and when I go every month to see my Greg. She (Anna) kindly let me sleep in her room and then she goes to sleep with her sister.

The funny thing, is that when I am there. Anna has always tries to avoid me by not be within the in same room. We are never in the same room unless there are others in the same room... Cold Shoulder.

I provide for Greg financially and materially to the best I can. Love subjects are out of the question, I think she has a man and that is not a reason to behave in such way. And to tell you the truth, I don't even know if I hate or not. All I know is that I am trying to be civil.

I just wanted to add: She broke up with me close to 3 years ago for another guy. From my part positively speaking. I am almost glad she broke up with me. Because I am able to focus on other aspects of my life which I could not do when we were a couple. Changed career, practice sports, travel, spend time with my son and more. Good for me..!

Just stay civil, and friendly as she is, as she is under no obligations to talk to you other than about her son.

Unsure what you expect from her, she owes you nothing, and you owe her nothing, you both owe your son, so let whatever else you expect go. Just be good parents and civil to each other.

I do not expect anything from her and the feeling of being ignored is very uncomfortable. And to tell you the truth my feelings for her are mixed with love and hate.

That's normal for couples in your situation. Some get along better than others. You have to deal with your discomfort maturely, for your son, though.
