Depo
I just got on the Depo shot 2 months ago, and for the past month I have been bleeding/ spotting. I had sex for the first time since the bleeding and it stopped during intercourse and I had a large amount of watery clear sticky discharge that lasted a few hours after. The bleeding came back the next day. What do you think it could be?

I had the Depo shot as well. The bleeding is actually quite normal. The Depo Shot hormone thins the lining of the uterus and for many women, it gets so thin that it bleeds (kind of like a skinned knee would bleed). This will stop once the hormone levels lower in your system and if you do not get your next shot. Once the hormones start to level out, be prepared for extreme sensitivity in your breasts, to the point that you may find yourself questioning pregnancy!
Are you sure the clear discharge was not your normal discharge as increased amounts are normal when aroused and even for hours afterward?

Thanks.
The discharge was way different than anything I've experienced, it was like water and a little sticky to the touch. I've had a kid, and to me it was kind of like the feeling of my water breaking [as an example of the amount] it lasted throughout the sexual intercourse and persisted a little after then stopped and now I'm bleeding again.

Depo has it's own set of issues. I would go back and talk with your doctor about this. Try something different.
You could also wait it out until your body is use to the shot. Give it another few months. Though I would still go see a doctor. Every woman's hormonal chemistry is a little different.

Your best bet is to follow up with your doctor. If you have researched Depo shots, you would find that it has a lot of side affects and it very well could be what the discharge is. However, it is better to be safe and talk to your doctor.

Hi, I just got off depo provera and when my period came, I've been bleeding for almost two weeks now. I called my doctor and she said it was normal I'm not sure what to do. Sometimes for a whole day I would see nothing and just when I'm thinking it's over, some clots ooze out.
