    My friend had a stroke at work, he complained to his shift manager he wasn't feeling very well at least three times during his shift, the manager told him to carry on with his shift then he could go home when he was finished. However it turns out he was having a stroke is the manager liable for prosecution for due to lack of duty of care

    No. The manager isn't a health care provider and so isn't expected to be able to diagnose a medical condition.
